Pupil Specific Teaching Assistant

If you are someone who believes that all pupils regardless of their personal circumstances can excel and you have the ability to set high expectations in order to motivate and inspire our young people, then this job is for you.
We are seeking to appoint two high quality and proactive pupil specific teaching assistants to join our dedicated and friendly team.
* KS2 child with specific physical disabilities. Female required, to support with accessing learning and personal care. A sense of humour and caring nature is essential.
* KS1 child with ASD. A calm and patient person is required to support the learning and social and emotional needs.
Under the direction/instruction of teaching/senior staff, work with a child 1-1 to supervise their physical and general care. Support access to learning for them using a wide range of resources and work closely with the Class Teacher to enable the child to fully access the curriculum. To be able to promote positive play and work experiences and help them to be more independent.
28.75hrs/week, 39 weeks/year (term time +1)

Gaywood Primary School is a two-form entry school that caters for children from the age of four to eleven years of age. At present, there are 417 children on roll. We have fourteen classrooms, lots of computing equipment, a music mobile, recently refurbished library, two large halls, intervention rooms and a childrens kitchen! Gaywood Primary School is set in spacious grounds with two playgrounds and a large playing field.
